11 <br /> Adopted 8/17/93 <br /> Revised 9/2/93 <br /> HILLSBOROUGH COOPERATIVE PLANNING <br /> NOTE: Proposed changes shown in boldface; original completion dates <br /> shown in italics. <br /> GOAL - IMPLEMENT THE ORANGE COUNTY-HILLSBOROUGH COOPERATIVE <br /> PLANNING AGREEMENT, INCLUDING THE PREPARATION OF A LAND USE <br /> PLAN AND IMPLEMENTING ORDINANCES FOR THE COOPERATIVE <br /> PLANNING ZONE <br /> OBJECTIVE <br /> This initiative represents the continuation of an objective <br /> included among the Commissioners' goals for FY 1992-93 . The <br /> objective involves the implementation of the Orange County- <br /> Hillsborough Cooperative Planning Agreement signed by both <br /> jurisdictions in October of 1991. The objective specifically <br /> involves the preparation of a Land Use Plan and implementing <br /> ordinances for the Cooperative Planning Area. <br /> PLAN OF ACTION <br /> The Plan of Action below reflects the schedule of events as they <br /> have occurred or are proposed. Items A through D have been <br /> completed. Items E-G represent activities which will be undertaken <br /> prior to a joint planning board/governing body work session in <br /> September, 1993 . Completion of items H-Q are dependent on a <br /> decision/concensus of the governing boards at/following the <br /> proposed joint work session in September. <br /> A. Define workplan/schedule and Work Group November, 1991 - <br /> membership, and report to governing January, 1992 <br /> boards <br /> B. Produce base map of study area for November, 1991 - <br /> public display and produce press January, 1992 <br /> release to announce <br /> C. Compile and produce environmental/ January, 1992 - <br /> socioeconomic analyses to include: August, 1992 <br /> 1. Existing land uses <br /> 2 . Natural Environment <br /> 3 . Transportation system <br /> 4 . Water & Sewer <br /> 5. Population <br /> D. Public meeting to present overview of August, 1992 <br /> agreement, plan process/schedule, and <br /> study area profile <br /> E. Joint Governing Board meeting to discuss March, 1993 <br /> status of Cooperative Planning Agreement <br />
