procedural rights and obligations under this Ordinance within ten <br /> (10 ) days after the Complaint is filed with the Commission . <br /> (e) A Respondent may file an answer to the Complaint within <br /> ten (10 ) days after receiving a copy of the Complaint . Answers <br /> shall be signed and verified by the Respondent and shall be filed <br /> with the Commission . <br /> ( f) With leave of the Commission, which leave shall be granted <br /> whenever it would be reasonable and fair to do so, Complaints and <br /> Answers may be amended at any time . Amendments shall be reduced to <br /> writing, signed, verified, and filed with the Commission . <br /> Amendments shall relate back to the date the original Complaint or <br /> Answer was filed. <br /> (g) The Commission shall, within 30 days after the filing of <br /> a Complaint , commence an investigation into the allegations <br /> contained in the Complaint . <br /> (h) In conducting an investigation, the Commission shall have <br /> access at all reasonable times to premises, records , documents, <br /> individuals , and other evidence or possible sources of evidence to <br /> ascertain the factual basis of the allegations contained in the <br /> Complaint . <br /> Further, the Commission may examine, record, and copy such <br /> materials and take and record the testimony or statements of such <br /> persons as reasonably necessary for the furtherance of the <br /> investigation . <br /> (i ) In conducting an investigation, the Commission may, in <br /> accordance with the North Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure : <br /> 40 <br />
