Upon approval by all <br /> participating jurisdictions, the current Durham-Chapel <br /> Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) <br /> will be superseded by the organization created under <br /> the new agreement. <br /> The new agreement is needed to expand TAC voting <br /> membership to include voting representatives from the <br /> Town of Hillsborough and the County of Chatham due to <br /> an expansion of the MPO planning jurisdiction boundary <br /> to include the Town of Hillsborough. Northeast <br /> Chatham County has been in the Planning Area for <br /> several years, but it has not been a voting member of <br /> the Metropolitan Planning Organization. The <br /> inclusion of these areas in the MPO planning area <br /> requires voting representation. <br />
