A <br /> Falls Lake Watershed Association <br /> Mayor Upchurch of Raleigh proposed that a Falls Lake Management Association be <br /> formed. The purpose of the association would be to preserve the Falls Lake as a major water <br /> resource which provides water supply, recreation, water quality, and flood control benefits <br /> thorough collaborative actions of its membership. The association could collect and analyze <br /> information, identify problems and develop cost-effective solutions, and secure and pool <br /> financial resources and expertise. A copy of the proposal is enclosed. <br /> Action Requested -- <br /> Would you 'lease •resent these •ro•osals to the Orange County Board of Coun <br /> Commissioners by September 1.
