The petitions and responses are listed below: <br /> 1) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that the County become involved in helping to <br /> solve the accessibility/transportation needs and problems for program participants for Boomerang and <br /> Volunteers for Youth. <br /> Response: Staff to contact Boomerang and Volunteers for Youth to discuss needs and possibilities. <br /> 2) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that the County pursue efforts to help <br /> Boomerang secure a location for services in Hillsborough in conjunction with Orange County Schools <br /> and the soon to be acquired Meadowlands property. <br /> Response: Travis to contact Boomerang and also discuss space possibilities with Orange County <br /> Schools. <br /> 3) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that staff provide an update on the status of the <br /> Efland Village. <br /> Response: Staff to draft Information Item to update the Board. <br /> 4) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that staff follow up on the previous petition by <br /> Commissioner Marcoplos that the planners and others convene to establish a more stream-lined <br /> permitting/land development/inspections process. <br /> Response: Manager's Office to provide recommendation. <br /> 5) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Price that staff inform the Board on the opportunity <br /> for advisory boards' representatives, and specifically the Northern Transition Area Advisory <br /> Committee, to make their annual reports to the BOCC, and if staff has had any discussion with <br /> Carrboro economic development opportunities along Hwy 86. <br /> Response: Advisory Boards including the NTAAC will have the opportunity to address BOCC at <br /> March 28, 2017 Board work session. <br /> 6) Review and consider a request by Commissioner Rich that the Board discuss at an upcoming work <br /> session revising the Regular Meeting Order of Business to move Board Comments to near the <br /> beginning of the meeting and/or combine with Announcements/Petitions by Board members. <br /> Response: To be discussed as part of Policies and Procedures discussion at Spring 2017 work session. <br />
