Also, representatives from other participating groups and agencies <br /> will be recruited for appointments once this proposal becomes final. <br /> Atreus Goode made the following PowerPoint presentation: <br /> My Brother's Keeper Orange County <br /> December 5, 2016 <br /> Fast Facts <br /> MOY started with 11 students at Hillside High School in 2006; currently, MOY impacts <br /> hundreds of middle and high school students annually and is in the process of scaling <br /> nationally. <br /> Since MOY's inception, 99% of participants have been students of color with the <br /> following outcomes: <br /> 100% of students complete at least eight (8) hours of community service per school <br /> year (MOY mentors and mentees have completed 10,000+ volunteer hours since 2006) <br /> 100% of high school students enroll in at least one (1) Honors or Advanced Placement <br /> Course <br /> 100% of students graduate from high school <br /> 99% of students enroll in college <br /> What We Do— Team Mentoring <br /> College students may apply annually to become mentors and friends for students <br /> Year-long relationships provide participants with access to a student scholar <br /> What We Do— Leadership Academy <br /> Leadership Academy is held twice a month on Saturdays and features a variety of sessions <br /> built to challenge participants in different ways intellectually, physically, and socially. <br /> Sessions are tailored to address the complex and unique issues that diverse youth face daily, <br /> while also providing opportunities for individual growth and professional development. <br /> What We Do— Summer Enrichment Academy <br /> Summer Enrichment Academy includes recreational activities, STEAM (science, technology, <br /> engineering, art, and mathematics) workshops, career training, field trips, and guest speakers <br /> among other things. <br /> What We Do—J.U.S.T.
