33 <br /> b) Redevelopment <br /> Non-residential redevelopment is allowed if the rebuilding activity does not have a net <br /> increase in built-upon area or provides equal or greater stormwater control than the <br /> previous development. <br /> There are no restrictions on single-family redevelopment. <br /> c) Expansion of Existing or New Developments <br /> Expansions to structures classified as existing development must meet the requirements <br /> of this Article, however, the impervious surface and lot area involved in the existing <br /> development is not required to be included in the calculation of the impervious surface <br /> ratio. <br /> Expansions to structures other than existing development must meet the density <br /> requirements for the entire project. <br /> 6.23.13 ADMINISTRATION <br /> a) Appeals <br /> Decisions of the Zoning Officer in the implementation of this Article may be appealed <br /> to the Orange County Board of Adjustment in accordance with Article 2.3.7 of thti <br /> Ordinance. <br /> b) Exemptions <br /> Development activities may be granted minor exemptions by the Board of Adjustment in <br /> accordance with Article 2.3.6 of this Ordinance. <br /> An exemption which results in one or more of the following shall be considered a major <br /> exemption, requiring approval by the Environmental Management Commission. <br /> 1. the complete waiver of a management requirement; <br /> 2. the relaxation by more than ten percent of any management requirement that <br /> takes the form of a numerical standard; and <br /> 3. the relaxation of any management requirement that applies to a development <br /> project requiring construction of a detention pond. <br /> A description of each project receiving an exemption and the reason for granting the <br /> exemption shall be submitted to the Commission on an annual basis. <br /> All other local governments having jurisdiction within the watershed area and the entity <br /> using the water supply for consumption shall be notified of the proposed exemption. <br /> 16 <br />
