ORAL REPORT <br /> Task Force on the Process for Electing County Commissioners <br /> Mr. Chairman, Members of the Board. I am Keith Cook, <br /> Chair of the Task Force on the Process for Electing County <br /> Commissioners. I am here to give the final report of the <br /> Task Force, and to answer your questions . Before I begin, <br /> let me introduce members of the Task Force who are present. <br /> (Introduce Task Force Members) <br /> The Task Force had a specific charge from this Board: <br /> 1. To determine if the present process for electing <br /> Commissioners provides fair and equitable representation <br /> for the citizens of Orange County. <br /> 2 . If the Task Force determines that the present system is <br /> in some way unfair, then, in what way is it unfair and to <br /> whom is it unfair? <br /> 3 . If the process does not provide for fair representation, <br /> then what changes are necessary to achieve fair and <br /> equitable representation? <br />
