THE CHAPEL HILL HERALD <br /> NEWS BRIEFS <br /> Bank gives <br /> $2,000 for <br /> storm relief <br /> CHAPEL HILL — The Chapel <br /> Hill office of First:Union -Na- <br /> tional Bank of Nortli-Carolina <br /> last week sent two,donations, <br /> each for $1,000, to relief agen- <br /> cies assisting victims of last <br /> month's Hillsborough tornado. <br /> Karen Sanders Raleigh, the <br /> bank's Chapel Hill city execu- <br /> tive, made the donations to the <br /> American Red Cross and Orange <br /> Congregations in Mission. <br /> First Union also is offering <br /> tornado victims special rates <br /> and terms for home- <br /> improvement, automobile, mo- <br /> bile home and other loans, ac- <br /> cording to a company state- <br /> ment.
