C. Town of Hillsborough The Town of Hillsborough provided the following _assistance: - the Fire, Department provided initial emergency response which involved search and rescue; - the Police Department provided patrol and protection; - the Street Department provided search and rescue, as well as clearing debris from the right of way for emergency vehicle passage; - the Street Department cleaned public roadways and victims ' property; - the Administration Department provided assistance with the damage assessment and coordination of work assignments for volunteers; - the Water and Sewer Departments provided on-site assistance for broken lines and leakage; and - the Administration Department designated a representative to serve on the Unmet Needs Committee. The Town of Hillsborough provided backhoes, dump trucks, garbage trucks, front-end loaders, a brush truck, a drott, and a motor grader to assist in the debris clean-up and removal. Forty-one town employees, contributing approximately 1,865 hours of service, assisted in the relief efforts. The Town of Hillsborough incurred approximately $48,000 in expenses as a result of the assistance provided and solid waste disposal costs. D. Joint Orange-Chatham Community Action (JOCCA) JOCCA served as the outreach liaison for the Tornado Disaster victims. They coordinated services with DSS, OCIM, and the American Red Cross. JOCCA provided assistance to 100 households in the affected area. A total of six employees were involved in this effort. These employees provided 304 hours of service (two full-time employees attributed 160 hours, and four part-time employees attributed 144 hours of service) . This staff time totaled approximately $6,092 .00 in personnel costs. 8
