Mr . Hartley voiced opposition to the rezoning reque <br /> 13 citing the density impact ' on the land , school , and roads . He also, <br /> 14 stated concerns that the Hogan land is a large part of the are <br /> 15 that the Carrboro Board of Aldermen have requested the SAPWG <br /> 16 consider for possible planning/development scenarios . <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Sally Nussbaumer stated that she does not oppose the rezonin.: <br /> 19 request per se but does reject the process used by the governinL <br /> 20 Boards to consider the request . This process excludes the SAP‘,,., <br /> 21 from the process and prohibits them from executing the char <br /> 22 issued by the Carrboro of Aldermen to plan for the future <br /> 23 development of the transition area. Ms . Nussbaumer asked that the <br /> 24 SAPWG be included in this planning process . <br /> 25 • <br /> 26 Carol Ann Greenslade , a member of the SAPWG, stated that thy , <br /> 27 Work Group needs to be allowed to execute the charge given to them . <br /> 28 She requested that a moratorium be placed on all rezoning request -, <br /> 29 in the T1 and T2 area. She felt that the applicant ' s request 1 ;1' <br /> 30 been made solely for financial gain and does not take oth'• : <br /> 31 important issues into account . <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Bud Varden reviewed the legal criteria for requesting Ant <br /> 34 granting rezoning applications . Mr . Vaden asked that the financi .t <br /> 35 gains of a few citizens not be allowed to outweigh the good of the <br /> 36 community as a whole . <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Carol Miller spoke in opposition to this zoning request citin _ <br /> 39 increased density and adverse impact on Sewell School . <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Doris haneklides voiced opposition to this rezoning requ' <br /> 42 because of problems created by water run-off . <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Stephen Dear spoke in opposition to this request . h- <br /> 45 mentioned its negative impact on traffic flow, the school system , <br /> 46 and wildlife . He requested that an environmental impact study he <br /> 47 completed prior to any further action being taken . <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Sidney Harrell voiced opposition to the rezoning reque <br /> 50 citing traffic impact and stormwater run-off . He asked that , <br /> 51 comprehensive storm water model be developed for the Bolin Creek <br /> 52 Watershed with particular emphasis on the T1 Transition area . <br />
