difficulty is that a portion of the tract is <br /> located in Alamance County. Walters expressed <br /> concern about the number of entrances proposed <br /> for Bradshaw Quarry Road. The applicant <br /> indicated there would be two entrances once the <br /> remainder of the tract is developed. One <br /> entrance would be from the portion of the road <br /> in Alamance County which is named Thom Road. <br /> The applicant asked if a lot is located in both <br /> Alamance and Orange counties, which county would <br /> actually have approval. Ms. Best continued <br /> that she owns a thirty-five acre tract that is <br /> located in Orange County and, a larger adjoining <br /> tract located in Alamance County. Willis <br /> responded that the entire tract is taxed in <br /> Alamance County. Even though it is taxed in <br /> Alamance, each subdivision will be reviewed by <br /> the County in which it is actually located. If <br /> lots are created that split the county in some <br /> way they must be signed off by each jurisdiction. <br /> Perc tests would be done by the County in which <br /> the lot is located. Willis continued that if a <br /> portion of a lot is located in both Alamance and <br /> Orange Counties, Staff would communicate with <br /> Alamance to determine the most appropriate way to <br /> proceed. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> AGENDA ITEM #9: MATTERS HEARD AT JPA PUBLIC HEARING APRIL 15, 1993 <br /> a.
