Hakan/Corley & Associates will set as our goal minimizing energy <br /> consumption to the degree that practicality and budget permit. While we feel <br /> it would be both premature and potentially misleading to commit to numeric <br /> values at this point, we are aware of the goal of the Committee with specific <br /> reference to energy is 20,000 BTU's/sf/yeax, and for lighting cost is <br /> $1.00/sf/yr. We do not fed that we know enough of the program specifics, <br /> especially with regard to time-of-day usage of the building, to guarantee that <br /> these goals are achievable. Our commitment then is to come as dose as possible <br /> to these goals within the existing budget. If the goals prove to be non- <br /> achievable within that budget, we will advise the Committee of the estimated <br /> additional costs of meeting them. <br /> III. The following services are excluded from this ement. Should these <br /> services be requested of •i aosidcrcd Extra Services: <br /> 1. Reimbursables as described in Article 10.2 <br /> 2. Assistance in obtaining public or private grants for energy studies and <br /> energy conservation, etc. <br /> 3. Interior design services, other than for common areas and providing the <br /> selection criteria described above. <br /> 4. Consultants fees for specialty consultants associated with the multi-purpose <br /> meeting room (e.g. acoustical, audio-visual, food service consultants) <br /> page 4 <br />
