4 <br /> Resolution of Intent to Adopt the 1993-94 <br /> Orange County Budget <br /> June 23, 1993 <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners has considered the <br /> Orange County 1993-94 Manager's Recommended Budget, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commissioners have agreed on certain modifications to the <br /> Manager's Recommended Budget. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners expresses its intent to adopt the 1993-94 Orange County <br /> Budget Ordinance on Tuesday, June 29, 1993, based on the following <br /> stipulations: <br /> 1) The following modifications to the County Manager's Recommended <br /> Budget are made: <br /> a) Longevity pay for permanent County employees is modified so <br /> that permanent employees, with 10 years Orange County service <br /> as a permanent employee on or after January 1, 1994, are eligible <br /> for longevity payment in accordance with the Personnel <br /> Ordinance, at a rate of 1.5 percent of annual salary. The <br /> additional amount to the Manager's Recommended Budget to be <br /> allocated to the appropriate departmental budgets is $28,935. <br /> b) The amount appropriated in "Miscellaneous" for Merit Awards <br /> is adjusted from $364,151 to $185,689; a reduction to the <br /> Manager's Recommended Budget "Non-Departmental - <br /> Miscellaneous" category totaling $178,462. <br /> c) One additional Deputy Sheriff I (1.0 Full-Time Equivalent) <br /> position, Salary Grade 66 is added to the recommended new <br /> positions. The adjustment to the Manager's Recommended <br /> Budget, Public Safety function is an additional $34,695. <br />
