ATTACHMENT III <br /> 15 <br /> CHILD CARE RESOURCES TASK FORCE <br /> RESPONSES TO COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ' QUESTIONS <br /> 1. WHO IS ON THE TASK FORCE? <br /> The following agencies and organizations are represented on the Task <br /> Force: <br /> United Way of Greater Orange County <br /> Child Care Networks <br /> Day Care Services Association <br /> Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center <br /> Orange County Department of Social Services <br /> First Citizens Bank <br /> OPC-Mental Health Center <br /> Orange County Schools <br /> Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools <br /> Head Start - Chapel Hill Training Outreach <br /> The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill <br /> (A list of the membership, by name, is attached. ) <br /> In addition to the membership, the Task Force intends to include, in <br /> the final organization, representatives of County and Municipal <br /> governments, additional public and private non-profit health and <br /> human services agencies, day care providers, foundations, and <br /> families (as required by the law) and religious and business service <br /> organizations. <br /> 2. WHAT ORGANIZATION WILL RECEIVE, COORDINATE, AND BE ACCOUNTABLE <br /> FOR FUNDS? <br /> Until the local not-for-profit partnership is established (probably <br /> in August) , Day Care Services Association has agreed two receive and <br /> administer funds as requested by the Task Force. When the local <br /> partnership is established as a separate 501 (c) (3) organization in <br /> accordance with the new General Statutes amendment, its Board of <br /> Directors will assume that responsibility. <br />
