Three page agreement between the <br /> UNC-School of Medicine and the OCHD. <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBER: <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: <br /> For the Health Department to contract with the UNC-School of Medicine, Department <br /> of OB/GYN, for the services of a third year resident to provide medical services <br /> in the Maternal Health Clinic. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> This is a renewal contract of an agreement that has extended for many years. Due <br /> to having a resident from the Department of OB/GYN, the prenatal patients in the <br /> Maternal Health Clinic receive excellent specialty care and supervision. In <br /> addition, the Health Department patients who deliver at University Hospitals <br /> experience improved continuity of care as a result of this contractual <br /> relationship. <br /> The terms of this contract are the same as the previous year and the funds to <br /> cover the expenditure have been included in the Manager's Recommended Budget for <br /> FY1993-94. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : The County Manager recommends that the contract be approved <br /> and the Chair authorized to sign. <br />
