Observers: All department heads invited. <br /> Observers from the public. <br /> Desired Outcomes <br /> • Ideas for making the County more resilient, given shifts taking place in the natural <br /> environment and society. <br /> • Options for continual monitoring and evaluation of the County's goals. <br /> Agenda <br /> 8:30 Gather/Breakfast available <br /> 9:00 Convene <br /> • Welcome by Chair. <br /> • Facilitator leads group in reviewing/clarifying facilitator's role and the retreat's desired <br /> outcomes, agenda, and ground rules. <br /> 9:20 Preparing for Change <br /> Agenda Item Overview(5 minutes) <br /> Facilitator and planning committee members explain the focus of this agenda item: "How can <br /> the County prepare for significant changes that might take place in the natural environment and <br /> society? What does it mean to be "sustainable" or "resilient" given climate change, demographic <br /> changes, fiscal limitations, and our commitments to social justice, economic viability and <br /> environmental stewardship?
