Announcements and Petitions by Board Members <br /> 20 Chair McKee said Commissioner Burroughs will not be here tonight. <br /> 21 Commissioner Price had no announcements or petitions. <br /> 22 Commissioner Rich had no announcements or petitions. <br /> 23 Commissioner Dorosin said he petitioned a few weeks ago about the revenue <br /> 24 distributed back from the ABC Board to the County, and Gary Donaldson, Chief Financial <br /> 25 Officer, provided some information. He said the profits are at 39%, which is lower than other <br /> 26 counties. He petitioned the County to seek a higher distribution from the profits from their local <br /> 27 ABC Board back to the County. <br /> 28 Bonnie Hammersley said there is not a policy, and staff will bring back more information <br /> 29 on this issue. <br /> 30 Commissioner Dorosin said a friend, Cynthia Brown, passed away recently from cancer. <br /> 31 He said she had been a facilitator at retreats. <br /> 32 Commissioner Jacobs said the Board recently discussed developing a policy to <br /> 33 purchase from local vendors in Orange County, and when that is not possible, to purchase <br /> 34 products made in the United States. He requested that a letter go out to all caterers stating that <br /> 35 meals, which are served in plastic, or Styrofoam containers and plastic silverware will not be <br /> 36 accepted. <br /> 37 Commissioner Pelissier asked for a regular report on the information item in their <br /> 38 packet, the Human Services Transportation Research and Orange Public Transit's Challenges <br /> 39 and Solutions, and said going forward this should be tracked regularly. <br /> 40 Chair McKee had no announcements or petitions. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 4.
