The grant did not create new <br /> funding streams, but combined funds appropriated to the <br /> Department on Aging, Department of Social Services and <br /> Joint Orange Chatham Community Action Agency to <br /> administer programs for senior citizens. <br /> On May 17, 1993 the Home and Community Care Block Grant <br /> Advisory Committee met and endorsed a recommended <br /> funding plan for fiscal year 1993-94 . The block grant <br /> requires the Board of Commissioners to conduct a public <br /> hearing to receive comments on the recommended funding <br /> plan. The recommended funding plan identifies the same <br /> programs funded during the 1992-93 fiscal year. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : Manager recommends approval of the 1993-94 Home <br /> and Community Care Block Grant Funding Plan as <br /> endorsed by the Home and Community Care Block <br /> Grant Advisory Committee. <br /> II <br /> II <br />
