As part of the application, the County's <br /> Historic Preservation Ordinance was reviewed by the Survey and <br /> Planning Branch of the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) . <br /> The Preservation Planner recommended some technical changes to the <br /> ordinance to insure compliance with the State and federal <br /> requirements for certification. Similar technical amendments were <br /> recommended for the Historic Preservation Commission's Rules of <br /> Procedure to provide consistency with the ordinance. <br /> EXISTING AND PROPOSED ORDINANCE TEXT: <br /> [proposed text underlined) <br /> Article 1. Historic Preservation Commission <br /> Section 1.2 Qualifications <br /> Each member will reside within the territorial jurisdiction of <br /> Orange County. In addition, a majority of tho all members of the <br /> Commission shall have demonstrated special interest, experience or <br /> education in history, architecture, landscape architecture, <br /> archaeology or related fields. <br /> Article 2.
