2 <br /> No community in the State of North Carolina has received <br /> CDBG funding without making a financial contribution. <br /> Therefore, a financial commitment form the County is <br /> essential in designing a competitive application. County <br /> funds would not be required until FY 94-95 at the earliest. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> The Manager recommends that the Board authorize a financial <br /> commitment of an amount not to exceed $130,000 to the <br /> Efland CDBG Project, with staff to develop recommendations <br /> during the next year on financing the County share from <br /> either operating or capital funds; and authorize the Chair <br /> to sign a letter of commitment to the N.C. Department of <br /> Commerce on behalf of the Board. <br />
