One vehicle <br /> belonging to OPC-Mental Health will be sold on their behalf. <br /> Auction to be held Saturday, May 22, 1993 at the Public works C <br /> Department located on Highway 86, Hillsborough. <br /> Quotations were solicited from local auctioneers with Phillip <br /> Walker Auctions submitting the lowest responsible fee ( 1.9%) . <br /> A tabulation of the results is enclosed. <br /> BACKGROUND: General Statute 160A-270(b) requires this procedure to <br /> dispose of surplus personal property. <br /> Funds generated from the sale of surplus personal property <br /> goes to Orange County. Funds for the sale of abandoned and <br /> confiscated property is to be evenly divided between the two <br /> school systems after deducting for expenses, as provided in <br /> the North Carolina Statutes. Funds generated by the sale the <br /> vehicle belonging to OPC-Mental Health will be forwarded to <br /> them. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends the Board accept the resolution.
