O <br />General Assembly of North Carolina Session 2007 <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />Whereas, Hillsborough Hog Day is planned and presented by a hardworking <br />group of volunteers and by staff of the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of <br />Commerce; and <br />Whereas, Hillsborough Hog Day was named in 2005 by MSN.com as one of <br />the "Sluruner's Best Activities;" and <br />Whereas, Hillsborough Hog Day has become a unique opportunity to visit <br />one of North Carolina's three Destinations of Distinction, as designated by the National <br />Trust for Historic Preservation; and <br />Whereas, plans have been made to celebrate the 25th anniversary of <br />Hillsborough Hog Day on Friday, June 15, and Saturday, June 16, 2007; Now, <br />therefore, <br />Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring: <br />SECTION 1. The General Assembly honors Hillsborough Hog Day on its <br />25th anniversary. <br />SECTION 2. The General Assembly honors the memory of former <br />Hillsborough citizens who have made outstanding contributions to the Town of <br />Hillsborough and the State of North Carolina. <br />SECTION 3. The Secretary of State shall transmit a certified copy of this <br />resolution to the President of the Board of Directors of the Hilisborough/Orange County <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br />SECTION 4.
