ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT 34 <br /> 306F REVERE ROAD <br /> HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA 27278 <br /> 411 ��� <br /> April 13, 1993 <br /> Mr. Bobby Kirk <br /> 4310 Bradshaw Quarry Road <br /> Efland, NC 27243 <br /> REGARDING: APPLICATION TO AMEND THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE <br /> ORANGE COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (CP-3-93) <br /> Dear Mr. Kirk: <br /> Please be advised that the Orange County Comprehensive Planning staff has completed its preliminary <br /> review of your application (CP-3-93) and accepts it for further analysis and presentation. As previously <br /> discussed, if the Board of County Commissioners agree at their May 3 meeting to place this amendment <br /> on the May public hearing agenda, your application will be presented at the Quarterly Public Hearing <br /> scheduled for May 24, 1993 in the Superior Courtroom of the County Courthouse in Hillsborough at 7:30 <br /> p.m. If the Board of Commissioners do not agree to the May hearing date, your application fee will be <br /> refunded and you may re-submit the application for the February 1994 public hearing(application deadline <br /> for this hearing is January 4, 1994). <br /> If the amendment is placed on the May 24, 1993 hearing, planning staff will perform an in-depth analysis <br /> of the request between now and the hearing date. We will also be requesting input from other local and <br /> state government agencies regarding the request. <br /> On or before May 7, the area being proposed for amendment would be posted with a sign advertising the <br /> f requested amendment and the public hearing date/place.We would also notify by mail all property owners <br /> within the 1/4-mile radius of the proposed node, as well as all property owners within 500 feet of the <br /> proposed node. Notice of the proposed amendment would run in local newspapers on May 12 and May 19. <br /> If you have questions or comments during this period, please call me at 967-9251 (extension 2590). I <br /> understand that you plan to submit a supplementary letter of application before the end of April.
