MATERNAL AND INFANT OUTREACH PROJECT <br /> GRANT PROJECT ORDINANCE 3 <br /> Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pusuant to Section 13.2 <br /> of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following grant project is <br /> hereby adopted. - <br /> Section 1. The project authorized is the Maternal and Infant Outreach program as awarded to <br /> the Orange County Health Department by the Kate B. Reynolds Health Care Trust and <br /> the North Carolina Medical Assistance Program. <br /> Section 2. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the grant project within <br /> the grant document, the rules and regulations of the North Carolina Department of <br /> Environment, Health and Natural Resources, the Kate B. Reynolds Health Care Trust, <br /> the North Carolina Medical Assistance Program, and the budget contained herein. <br /> Section 3. The following revenue is anticipated to be available to complete this project: <br /> Year 2 Grant Funds - Maternal and $57,235 <br /> Infant Outreach <br /> Section 4. The following amount is appropriated for this project: <br /> Human Services - Maternal and Infant $57,235 <br /> Outreach <br /> Section 5. The finance officer is hereby directed to maintain within the Grant Project sufficient <br /> specific detailed accounting records to provide the accounting to the grantor agency <br /> required by the grant agreement and federal and state regulations. <br /> Section 6. Funds may be advanced from the General Fund for the purpose of making payments due. <br /> Reimbursement requests should be made to the grantor agency in an orderly and timely <br /> manner. <br /> Section 7. Copies of this grant project ordinance shall be made available to the finance officer for <br /> direction in carrying out this project. <br /> Section 8. Positions authorized through this grant project include: <br /> 2 Full-Time Equivalent Maternal Outreach Worker positions <br /> Both positions are authorized on a time-limited basis through January 1, 1995. Subsequent <br /> funding in fiscal years 1995-96 and 1996-97 are contingent upon the availability of grant funds. <br /> Section 9. This project period begins January 1, 1992 and goes through December 31, 1995. Subsequent funding <br /> is contingent upon the availability of grant funds. <br /> Section 10. This ordinance is effective April 20, 1993. <br /> Section 11.
