2 <br /> A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> TO DIRECT THAT THE PERIODIC INSPECTIONS REQUIRED BY SECTION 107 <br /> OF THE NORTH CAROLINA STATE FIRE PREVENTION CODE BE <br /> PERFORMED WITHIN THE TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH BY COUNTY EMPLOYEES <br /> WHEREAS , Section 107 of the North Carolina State Fire Prevention <br /> Code (Volume V of the State Building Code) requires that periodic <br /> inspections be made of various buildings within each political <br /> subdivision of the state according to a minimum schedule set forth <br /> in that section; and <br /> WHEREAS , Orange County is authorized under N.C.G.S . § 160A-411 and <br /> 160A-413 , pursuant to a request of the Hillsborough Board of <br /> Commissioners , to exercise enforcement authority under the North <br /> Carolina State Building Code, including Volume V, within the Town <br /> of Hillsborough; and <br /> WHEREAS , Orange County presently enforces within the Town of <br /> Hillsborough other provisions of the North Carolina State Building <br /> Code; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners of the Town of <br /> Hillsborough resolves : <br /> Section 1 . The Board hereby requests the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners to direct that county employees conduct within the <br /> Town of Hillsborough the inspections required under Section 107 of <br /> the North Carolina State Fire Prevention Code, and that such <br /> inspections be conducted under the same circumstances and subject <br /> to the same requirements as are generally applicable throughout <br /> Orange County. <br /> Section 2 .
