2 <br /> A draft version of the ordinance was reviewed by the Emergency Medical <br /> Services Advisory Council, and has incorporated comments received from <br /> the volunteer rescue squads and fire departments which would provide <br /> services under the provisions of the new ordinance. Staff have also <br /> incorporated the changes recommended by the County Attorney into the <br /> proposed ordinance. <br /> Prior to the public hearing, staff will present a brief explanation of <br /> the significant enhancements of the proposed ordinance, relative to the <br /> existing ordinance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board conduct the <br /> public hearing and consider adopting the ordinance. <br />
