Letter to R. Williford and M. Collins, rage 2 of 2 <br /> areas and environmentally sensitive areas; protection of the character' and natural beauty <br /> of the area defined; and provision of adequate transportation routes including public, <br /> private, bicycle and pedestrian. <br /> We support the concept that every landowner should have the right to sell his or <br /> her property at a profit consistent with practices in the area and with the long range <br /> objectives of the community at large. We do not agree, however, that landowners have the <br /> right to take an action that will diminish the quality of life of their neighbors and fellow <br /> Orange Countians. <br /> We urge that the Carrboro Board of Aldermen and the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners deny this request for rezoning and mandate that any petitioner for change <br /> work with designated Small Area Planning Work Group representatives to develop a plan <br /> that is consistent with the community's long range goals as well as their personal <br /> economic objectives. <br /> Respectfully, <br /> H.
