Williford, AICPri <br /> Planning & Economic Development Director <br /> DATE: April 14, 1993 <br /> RE: Protest Petition: Lake Hogan Farm, Inc. , JPA Rezoning <br /> The Town of Carrboro received a protest petition on April 12, <br /> 1993 regarding the Lake Hogan Farm Rezoning Request scheduled for <br /> a Joint Planning Area Public Hearing on April 15, 1993 . The <br /> petition has been reviewed pursuant to Section 15-326 of the <br /> Carrboro Land Use Ordinance and is a valid protest petition. This <br /> petition has been signed by the owners of 54% (20% is required) of <br /> the area of the lots or portions of the lots immediately adjacent <br /> to the southern side of the lots included in the proposed change <br /> and extending 100 feet therefrom. The total area within 100 feet <br /> of the proposed rezoning is approximately 400, 600 square feet and <br /> an area of 215,810 square feet is represented by the petitioners. <br /> This petition will trigger the 3/4 vote requirement by the <br /> Board of Aldermen in order to approve the rezoning.
