Insko 227-2031 <br /> Don Willhoit 644-3004 (Fax) <br /> COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK <br /> WHEREAS, The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners and <br /> the National Association of County Commissioners have <br /> encouraged citizens across the state and the nation to <br /> learn more about county government's role in our lives; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County government has served the citizens of the <br /> County since 1752 and places its emphasis on addressing <br /> citizens concerns and needs; and <br /> WHEREAS, The elected and appointed officials of Orange County take <br /> pride in serving the citizens in the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County is on the forefront of many issues critical <br /> to both our state and nation, including health care, child <br /> and elder care, environmental protection, social services, <br /> job training, emergency management services, drug and <br /> alcohol abuse treatment, law enforcement, water and sewer <br /> services, and library services; and <br /> WHEREAS, Citizens may develop an increased awareness about county <br /> services and resources through outreach efforts provided by <br /> County officials. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, We, the Orange County Board of Commissioners hereby <br /> proclaim the week of April 17 - 24, 1993 as ORANGE COUNTY <br /> GOVERNMENT WEEK, and further encourage all citizens to <br /> become familiar with the services provided by Orange County <br /> government. <br /> This the 5th day of April, 1993 . <br /> ,414 <br /> Moses Carey, Jr. , Chai , <br /> Orange County Board o C;ommissioners <br /> 4111,46 <br /> YOU COUNT IN ORANGE COUNTY 1 <br /> %Or <br />
