The project will involve two components: (1) <br /> completion of the research, editing, writing, and preparation of a <br /> manuscript resulting from the architectural survey of the county and <br /> suitable for publication. This component will undertake the <br /> additional historical research on the county's development and <br /> individual sites and communities sufficient to produce a publishable <br /> manuscript and is expected to cost a total of approximately $11,500 of <br /> actual cash (2) archaeological survey of selected areas within the <br /> county. The archaeological survey will be coordinated through the <br /> Research Laboratories of Anthropology at UNC-Chapel Hill. This <br /> component will involve the remaining cash. In-kind services will <br /> apply to both components. <br />
