The amount would be used to
conduct an inventory of archaeological sites in the
unincorporated portions of Orange County and prepare
the manuscript for the countywide inventory. Refer
to the attached application for complete project
description.
The Planning Director was notified on March 15, 1993
that the application had been approved. To receive
the grant, the County must sign the attached
Subgrant Agreement and provide certification of
matching funds. This must be accomplished by April
15, 1993.
The County share would consist of $15,000 cash and a
$5,200 in-kind contribution. Professional services
funds requested as part of the Planning Department's
FY 1993-94 budget would be used to cover the cash
match. The in-kind contribution includes supplies
and equipment expense, and Planning Department staff
time on the project. Personnel and operating
expenses will be covered in the FY 1993-94 Planning
Department budget. No increase in staff/operating
expenditures will result from the inventory project.
