4 <br /> Mr. Gayle Wilson <br /> Page 2 <br /> February 25, 1993 <br /> This will provide comparable data to the test pits although the test pits yield superior information at <br /> a lower cost. <br /> In addition to this increased sampling in the test borings, the following have also been <br /> added to the revised scope of work: <br /> (1) Additional borings at site OC-2 to better define the groundwater divide between <br /> Cane Creek Reservoir and the potential active landfill area; <br /> (2) Additional time for the initial site reconnaissance by the entire project team <br /> (including principals and project managers) to address requests for their direct <br /> involvement throughout the field work; <br /> (3) Additional time for coordination of access of the drill rig on each site with the land <br /> owners; and <br /> (4) Grouting of all soil borings to allow for abandonment of each boring in accordance <br /> with the North Carolina well abandonment regulations. <br /> This package presents the revised scope of work, budgets, estimated time to complete the <br /> work, and a discussion of our concerns in relationship to site access, clearing, site restoration and <br /> security issues, and lists the deliverables from this phase in the project.
