2 <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INTER-FAITH COUNCIL <br /> WHEREAS, The Inter-Faith Council will celebrate on March 21 thirty <br /> years of service to those individuals or families in <br /> need, and <br /> WHEREAS, The Inter-Faith Council has grown from a few volunteers <br /> to over 1, 000 volunteers working in two locations, with <br /> eight paid professional staff members guiding and <br /> coordinating their efforts, and <br /> WHEREAS, Many programs have been developed throughout the years <br /> which reflect the continuous commitment of the Inter- <br /> Faith Council to develop programs when no other agency is <br /> responding to the need, and <br /> WHEREAS, From the very beginning, concerns with social justice has <br /> been a hallmark, influencing the selection of programs to <br /> be developed with almost all programs providing services <br /> to people suffering some form of discrimination, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners that the Inter-Faith Council be commended <br /> for its thirty years of service and for its mission of <br /> "receiving with concern all who come to their doors and <br /> helping each to the best of their ability" . <br /> This the 23rd day of March, 1993 . <br /> Moses Carey, Jr. , Chair <br /> ATTEST: <br />
