Rimer; Bernadette Pelissier; Bill Kaiser; David Stancil; Hervey McIver; Jessica Lee; Matt Vizithum; Rosemary Summers Subject: Water Resources Work Group February 7, 2007 To: Ms. Laura Blackmon, County Manager From: Andy Sachs, Dispute Settlement Center, Work Group Facilitator Re: Joint Work Group on Water Resources Management On January 18, the Joint Work Group on Water Resources Management directed me to foward to you (1) the Meeting Report from that evening, and (2) two job descriptions (one prepared by the Board of Health delegation and one prepared by the Commission for the Environment delegation) for the new County Water Resources Specialist position. Those items are attached to this email message. The Work Group met three times (11/21/06, 12/21/06, and 1/18/07). You'll see in the attached Meeting Report that the Work Group has concluded that the County Manager or Board of County Commissioners -- and not this Work Group -- should clarify how the County as an organization will address water resources. The Work Group is open to meeting with you, at your invitation, if you want any clarification from it. Otherwise, the group has asked me to let you know that it considers its service on this matter to be completed. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to assist the County by facilitating the Work Group's deliberations. I hope that my efforts added some value to the Work Group's process. It is obvious to me that the two County staff persons and six citizen volunteers who comprised the Work Group cared very much about each other, the task before them,. and the County's well being. They are to be commended for applying themselves steadily, earnestly, and energetically to the Work Group's business over these past several months.
