FINANCIAL IMPACT: Acceptance of this Plan does not have any direct financial implications. <br />However, it should be noted that additional resources will be necessary to fully implement the <br />strategies contained in the Plan. The first step towards that goal is the funding of a 10 Year <br />Plan Coordinator to direct plan implementation. It is recommended that the four local <br />governments in the County share the annual cost of this position, $60,000, by a percentage <br />contribution based on population. According to this formula, Orange County's contribution <br />would be $24,000 per year. Additional details are provided in the attached letter from Moses <br />Carey, Co-Chair of the Partnership to End Homelessness. The Manager will consider this <br />funding request during development of the FY2007-2008 budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board accept the 10 Year Plan <br />to End Homelessness in Orange County, appoint a representative to the Executive Team and <br />direct staff to present information regarding future critical .decision points during the <br />implementation stage of the Plan. <br />
