It is on the maim a major east-west road through the <br /> township which links the Chapel Hill-Carrboro urban area with I-85 <br /> and Burlington-Graham urban area to the west. The area is also <br /> eerie close to ttho another major north-south route (Dodsons <br /> Crossroads/Butler Road/White Cross Road) , and land within tho <br /> Rede to the north of N.C. 54 and east of White Cross Road is <br /> classified as Rural Residential. The support services and retail <br /> establishments that will likely accompany rural residential <br /> development are most appropriately located in this node at the <br /> White Cross Road intersection. <br /> 8.
