Permitted Uses <br /> - Towers for cellular phones and other communication devices should be permitted <br /> to accommodate new directions in technology. <br /> - Landfills, toxic waste disposal facilities, massage/adult entertainment businesses <br /> and bar/nightclubs were cited as uses which should not be allowed in the ED <br /> district. <br /> - If a mobile home park were located in the ED District, could individual mobile <br /> homes be replaced? (yes) Would a Special Use Permit be required? (no) <br /> - Landfills, toxic waste disposal facilities, quarries, stockyards, and airports were <br /> cited as uses which should not be allowed in the ED district. <br /> - Can residences continue to be occupied if the district is adopted? Will multi- <br /> family uses be allowed? <br /> - There will be little incentive for landowners to maintain their property, <br /> particularly residential property, until it is developed. <br /> - People who live in the proposed district and do not wish to develop or sell their <br /> property have nothing to gain from the rezoning. <br /> - Will recycling industries be allowed (yes - they are considered to be <br /> manufacturing/processing in the Table of Permitted Uses) <br /> - Residences built in the ED zone should not be required to go through the SUP <br />
