The current Land Use <br /> Element designations for the area are 20-Year Transition, <br /> and Commercial and Commercial-Industrial Activity Node. <br /> The proposed designations are 20-Year Transition and <br /> Economic Development Activity Node. <br /> g. Amend Section 3 . 11 - Bingham Township Plan (Text and Map) <br /> by adding the new Economic Development Activity Nodes, <br /> Adam & Eve (BH-1) and White Cross (BH-2 ) . The nodes are <br /> located at the intersection of N.C. Highway 54, and <br /> Morrow Mill Road and White Cross Road, respectively. The <br /> area within the Adam & Eve node is approximately 220 <br /> acres, while the area within the White Cross node is <br /> approximately 200 acres. <br /> The current Land Use Element designations for the Adam & <br /> Eve node Agricultural Residential and Rural Neighborhood <br /> Activity Node. The proposed designations are Agricultural <br /> Residential and Economic Development Activity Node. The <br /> current Land Use Element designations for the White Cross <br /> node Agricultural Residential, Rural Residential, and <br /> Rural Community Activity Node. The proposed designations <br /> are Agricultural Residential, Rural Residential, and <br /> Economic Development Activity Node. <br /> h. Amend Section 3 . 12 - Chapel Hill Township Plan (Text <br /> Only) by including a reference to the I-85/U.S. 70 <br /> (BB- 5) , and the fact that a portion of the proposed <br /> Economic Development Activity Node extends into Chapel <br /> Hill Township as far south as the Southern Railroad. <br /> i. Amend Section 4 . 1 - Overview of Implementation Strategies <br /> by adding an "Economic Development Activity Node" row to <br /> the "Land Use Element Categories-Zonin g District Matrix" <br /> and making the applicable zoning district, Economic <br /> Development District. The subsection, "Zoning Ordinance" , <br /> would also be amended (as follows) to add a description <br /> of the "Economic Development Activity Node" category. The <br /> subsection, "Economic Development Plan", would also be <br /> amended to include references to the creation of the <br /> Economic Development Commission and the preparation of a <br /> Strategic Plan for Economic Development. <br />
