01-11 10 <br /> 6.2 . 1. General Description <br /> The 90, 000 sq.ft. fire protected building will be of brick and <br /> stylized steel siding construction using concrete blocks and steel <br /> beams. It will have paved parking areas for 375 vehicles, an outside <br /> fitness trail with exercise stations, a basketball area, landscaped <br /> park areas and shelters. The lake area will have a beach type access. <br /> There will be total night light protection, emergency phone access, <br /> light sensors areas. <br /> The building will be partitioned with interior walls and airflow <br /> will be controlled so as to minimize the potential corrosive effects of <br /> having hostile chemical elements emanating from such areas as the pool <br /> and the rink. <br /> 6. 2 .2 . Olympic-sized Swimming Pool <br /> The Olympic size pool will have adult Mens & womens ' changing rooms <br /> and tiled showers, womens' privacy tiled showers and changing stalls; <br /> vanity areas; rental lockers; privacy entrances and bathrooms. The <br /> men's changing facilities can accomodate 190 and the Women's facility <br /> can accomodate 130. <br /> The staff room will be equipped with a bathroom and first aid area. <br /> There will be equipment storage areas, seating for approximately <br /> 400 in the stands, drains for easy cleaning of all areas, painted <br /> concrete walls, pool motion sensors during non program use, fire <br /> protection by alarm, sprinkler and P/A system, equipment room for the <br /> pool plant, and an indirect lighting system for non-glare. <br /> The pool and equipment will meet all state codes and regulations, <br /> there will be no diving facilities, there will be disabled access to <br /> all areas and the pool, tile racing markers and lane dividers, first <br /> aid center and accessories, racing stands, de-humidification equipment <br /> and a full environmental control system. <br /> 6. 2 . 3 . Ice Rink <br /> The 200 ' x 85 ' ice rink will have safety boards and safety glass, <br /> a sports score board, 2 Zamboni machines, a Zamboni and maintenance <br /> room with a snow well for ice disipation, an ammonia based/glycol <br /> alcohol system, 4 changing rooms with tiled showers and bathrooms, a <br /> ladies changing room and bathroom/shower, an officials room with <br /> bathroom/shower, first aid station, seating for 410 in the stands <br /> withaccess to the disabled, painted concrete block walls, a broadcast- <br /> ing facility with music facility, storage areas, a skate sharpening <br /> room, a skate rental storage area with skates for rent, protected <br /> indirect lighting and full fire protection, an observation restaurant <br /> area, and an ice plant room with alarms and safety equipment. <br /> All areas will be environmentally controlled, the subsoil beneath <br /> the rink will be heated to avoid frost damage, there will be team <br /> benches, penalty boxes and a scorers box. <br />
