pAlc G „ , . <br /> 1 <br /> TRIANGLE COMMUNITY ACTIVITY CENTER (TCAC) <br /> BUSINESS PLAN <br /> 1. 0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON TYHA. <br /> 1. 1 The purpose of The Triangle Youth Hockey Association, Inc <br /> (TYHA) which will be the owner of the TCAC, is as follows:- <br /> TYHA is organized to :- <br /> * (1) provide and administer a program of ice hockey instruction and <br /> competition for children and youth of the Triangle and Piedmont areas <br /> of North Carolina; <br /> * (2) provide, organize and administer adult hockey programs; C, <br /> * (3) organize and administer figure skating and pleasure skating for <br /> the surrounding communities; <br /> * (4) to provide and administer youth and adult activity programs <br /> designed at the educational and recreational level; <br /> * (5) provide and administer events and general activities that <br /> foster community spirit and expand the social fabric of the community <br /> it serves; <br /> * (6) provide an environment for training or educational programs as <br /> identified such as swimming and fitness. <br /> 1.2 . Tax Status. <br /> 1.2 . 1 TYHA Inc is a non-profit corporation given an exempt status by <br /> the State of North Carolina Department of Revenue in a letter dated <br /> September 22nd 1981. It qualifies for exemption under sections 105-125 <br /> and 105-130. 11, respectively, of the General Statutes of North Carolina <br /> as a bona fide non-profit, educational organization. <br /> 1. 2 .2 The corporation is organized under section 501 (c) (3) and <br /> 501(c) (4) of the United States Internal Revenue Code and has a Tax <br /> Number 58-1402995. <br /> 1. 3 Book-keeping <br /> To-date the organization has compiled its own book-keeping records, <br /> but it recognises that it will need to link with a qualified CPA to <br /> review and audit its records and it will identify such a firm and work <br /> with them to ensure its records are correctly structured and will <br /> provide the necessary daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual <br /> management reports from which to monitor its budget projections. <br /> It currently produces a yearly financial report as required by its by- <br /> laws for TYHA and the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL) <br />
