Joint public <br /> hearings are also required when changes to the Agreement or Zoning Map for <br /> the Transition Areas are proposed. <br /> In the past, two Joint Planning public hearings have been scheduled each <br /> year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. A public hearing calendar <br /> provides staff as well as citizens the opportunity to develop work <br /> programs and project applications in accord with established deadlines and <br /> meeting dates. <br /> Both the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro have approved April 15, 1993 <br /> and October 14, 1993 for these public hearings. The hearings will be held <br /> at 7: 30 p.m. at a location to be determined. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : The Chair recommends that the Board of Commissioners <br /> approve April 15, 1993 and October 14, 1993 for Joint Planning public <br /> hearings. Upon approval, the Staff will notify the Towns of Chapel Hill <br /> and Carrboro, prepare a schedule of application deadlines, advertisement <br /> and notification dates, review/decision dates and reserve a location for <br /> the hearings. <br />
