Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br /> ( 1 ) CP-1-92 University Station <br /> (A copy of the abstract and documentation is on <br /> file in the Planning Department. ) <br /> Presentation by Marvin Collins. <br /> Collins informed the Board that a letter was <br /> received on January 22, 1993, from Amerivest <br /> Properties requesting that CP-1-92 University <br /> Station be withdrawn from consideration. (A copy <br /> of the letter is an attachment to these minutes <br /> on page . ) <br /> Collins continued that there is some question <br /> about what the withdrawal means in the number of <br /> acres in the total project. The original <br /> application indicated a total of seven property <br /> owners who owned approximately 577 acres. The <br /> concept plan that was submitted indicated a total <br /> of fourteen parcels totaling 629-631 acres. The <br /> advertisement was for 629 acres and all fourteen <br /> properties. Discussions with the applicant and <br /> the letter, indicated that only the 578 acres was <br /> being formerly withdrawn. Collins noted that he <br /> had heard that some of the property owners would <br /> still like for the amendment from Rural <br /> Residential to Transition to be considered. <br /> Collins noted that the criteria for a Transition <br /> Area is 100 acres. Since the 54 acres would be a <br /> free standing Transition Area and would not meet <br /> the criteria, Collins recommended denial of the <br /> 54 acres as Transition. <br /> MOTION: Waddell moved approval of Collins ' <br /> recommendation.
