17 <br /> r ,11 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA OPERATING AGREEMENT - <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> ORANGE COUNTY VISITORS ' CENTER <br /> This Operating Agreement made as of February 1, 1993 , by and <br /> among Orange County, North Carolina (the County) , the Hillsborough <br /> Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc . (the Chamber) and the Preservation <br /> Fund of Hillsborough, Inc . (the Fund) . <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS the Fund has agreed to convey to the County title to <br /> the Alexander Dickson House and its lot, 150 East King Street, <br /> Hillsborough, together with the outbuildings situated thereon, one <br /> of which is known as "the office" and the other of which contains , <br /> restrooms , all of the property being herein referred to as "the <br /> premises ; <br /> WHEREAS the parties to this agreement desire to see that <br /> visitor services continue to be offered to persons visiting Orange <br /> County and Hillsborough, recognizing the economic, cultural and <br /> educational advantages from so doing; and <br /> WHEREAS the parties wish to see that "the premises " are used, <br /> insofar as is feasible, for providing these services; and <br /> WHEREAS the parties wish to insure that "the premises " are <br /> maintained at a level appropriate to their historical significance <br /> and to their location in the center of the county seat of Orange <br /> County: <br /> NOW THEREFORE the parties agree as follows : <br /> 1 . Initial Repairs . It is recognized that certain repairs <br /> to the Dickson House have recently been performed on behalf of the <br /> 1 <br />
