c.y _1-93 <br /> JyC,5 <br /> VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROPOSAL SUMMARY 21 JANUARY 1993 <br /> services will be provided on a consulting basis by trained <br /> individuals from social services other recognized agencies. <br /> The participants will create their own "presentation" , a <br /> play, review, etc. to perform for the public at intervals <br /> within the school year. <br /> Classes will be held twice each week in one and one-half hour <br /> sessions. They will be staffed by personnel deemed appropriate <br /> after program is developed. <br /> The children will learn theater techniques as well as methods of <br /> controlling violence. It 'is hoped that by the introduction to <br /> the arts through theater, these participants will develop an <br /> interest in the arts and use this creativity to positively <br /> channel their energies. <br /> We are applying for these funds from U.S. Department of Justice, <br /> Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The section we will <br /> be applying under does not require watching funds. <br />
