2 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COlyMISSIONERS <br /> A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE ARTSCENTER'S <br /> JJDP GRANT PROPOSAL <br /> WHEREAS, the ArtsCenter has indicated its intent to apply for federal <br /> grant funds for an arts program aimed at violence prevention among at- <br /> risk children aged 9 to 14, and <br /> WHEREAS, the ArtsCenter has requested that Orange County provide <br /> certain transportation and other support services during the second <br /> year of the proposed grant project, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners supports the concept <br /> of increasing the availability of wholesome recreational and leisure <br /> activities for young people, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners supports the Artscenter' s proposed Juvenile Justice and <br /> Delinquency Prevention grant proposal and indicates its intent to <br /> provide reasonable transportation and administrative support to the <br /> project in its second year, if the project is approved and to the <br /> extent that the County is fully reimbursed by federal grant funds for <br /> its support. <br /> This, the 1st day of February, 1993. <br />
