10 <br /> • <br /> • <br /> General Requirements <br /> The following general requirements also apply to Kellogg Foundation grants: <br /> 1. Successive payments under this commitment will be contingent upon(a)receipt of an annual <br /> report with a projection of plans and a line-item budget for the succeeding year,and(b)a demonstration <br /> to the Foundation of satisfactory progress in relation to the stated objectives of the project during the <br /> preceding year. <br /> 2. Any unexpended cash funds remaining from the Foundation payment at the dose of each <br /> project year will be deducted from the payment for each successive year. The Foundation will consider <br /> requests,included in subsequent annual budgets,to use these unexpended funds for purposes consis- <br /> tent with the original goals of this project. <br /> 3. Increases in salaries and in fringe benefits beyond the level approved in the bud t ry osal <br /> are to be determined and provided by your institution from sources other than Kellogg Foundation <br /> funds as part of the financial take-over in subsequent years. It is understood that any increases shown <br /> in the salary and fringe benefit line item of the budget reflect additional staff and staff time rather than <br /> salary increments. <br /> 4. Your institution agrees to disseminate through established channels of communication,or by <br /> special reports,pertinent information relating to the results,findings,or methods developed through <br /> this commitment. <br /> . .� ter.. ,--:= -S. Nopublications,instructional modules,or other products developed in connection with this <br /> project will provide royalties or otherwise inure to the personal benefit of individuals connected with <br /> this activity. <br /> 6. If funds are included in this commitment for fellowships,please note that the Foundation has <br /> a special interest in these individual awards. We would like to establish personal contact with the <br /> Fellows chosen under projects we are assisting. Mr.Robert DeVrles,Program Director,will be writing <br /> to you.for your assistance in providing information about these Fellows so that we can issue them a <br /> Fellowship Certificate at the completion of their studies. Persons may be referred to by you as Kellogg <br /> Fellows if they receive Kellogg Foundation funds for a graduate learning experience(actual study <br /> program)of at least a semester or summer session. We will appreciate your assistance in providing this <br /> information to Mr.DeVries. <br /> 7. If any funds from this commitment are to be used as awards to individuals,these awards are <br /> to g�byyour institution,In accordance with your established policies with resulting <br /> Payments being on an objective and no ndiscriarinatory basis.
