PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PHASE II CONTRACT <br /> for <br /> The Orange County Architectural Survey, II <br /> Funded by <br /> FY 1992 Survey and Planning Grant <br /> and <br /> The County of Orange <br /> This Project Description and Contract are herein agreed to this 7 - day of <br /> _ y , 1992 by the County of Orange, hereinafter known as the Grantee; <br /> Jody Carter and Todd Peck, hereinafter known as the Consultants; and the <br /> Division of Archives and History, hereinafter known as the Division. The <br /> Grantee will identify a Local Coordinator, Marvin Collins, who will work with <br /> the Consultant and the Division Representative throughout the project. The <br /> project will be conducted according to the Standards established by the <br /> Division, and will be subject to its review, supervision, advice and final <br /> acceptance by the Division. <br /> A. SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> The purpose of the project is to complete the architectural survey <br /> of Orange County outside of the cities/towns of Chapel Hill and <br /> Hillsborough. The survey of one township, Chapel Hill township, <br /> was funded in FY 1991. Findings of the FY 1991 and FY 1992 <br /> surveys will be incorporated immediately into the Orange County <br /> Planning Department landuse data base. The project will be <br /> accomplished under the supervision of the State Historic <br /> Preservation Office (HPO) , and both HPO supervisory staff and the <br /> Principal Investigators will meet 36 CFR 61 qualifications. <br /> Survey methodology and evaluation will meet the Secretary's <br /> Standards for Identification and Evaluation. The work will <br /> consist of completing survey forms, maps, and a survey report for <br /> approximately 600 properties, using HPO survey forms, methodology, <br /> and survey handbook. <br /> B. TIME SCHEDULE: <br /> The project is scheduled for nine months, beginning on .or after the date <br /> of this contract and terminating no later than September 30, 1993. The <br /> attached Time-Product-Payment Schedule is to followed throughout the <br /> course of the project. <br />
