ORANGE COUNTY Action Agenda <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Item No. Ta-D <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date: January 19, 1993 <br /> SUBJECT: BUDGET ORDINANCE AMENDMENT #6 <br /> DEPARTMENT: Budget PUBLIC HEARING: YES NO_X_ <br /> ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br /> Proposed Budget Amendments Budget Office, Extension 2150 <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBERS: <br /> Proposed Grant Project Ordinance Hillsborough 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill 968-4501 <br /> Mebane 227-2031 <br /> Durham 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: To approve proposed budget ordinance amendments and grant project ordinance. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> 1. The Orange County Health Department has received additional State funds for its immunization efforts. The <br /> attached Immunization Action Plan grant project ordinance will appropriate these funds, totalling$6,225, to the <br /> Health Department. No County match is required. (See attached grant project ordinance.) <br /> 2. The Orange County Health Department has received additional Jordan/Adams funds from the State. The attached budget <br /> ordinance amendment, totalling$2,094, will appropriate these funds to various health department programs. No County match <br /> is required. (See block#2,page 2) <br /> 3. On January 4, the Board of County Commissioners approved a funding request from the volunteer fire departments <br /> for Hepatitis B vaccinations. This amendment, totalling$18,000, will appropriate funds from <br /> Contingency to the Emergency Management Services budget for this purpose. (See block#3, page 2) <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Manager recommends that the Board of Commissioners adopt the proposed Budget Ordinance Amendments and Grant <br /> Project Ordinance. <br />
