Sheriff Pendergrass <br /> initiated the proposal to change the policy. <br /> A management team made up of Sheriff Pendergrass, EMS <br /> Director Nick Waters, Public Works Director Wilbert <br /> McAdoo and Budget and Personnel staff developed the <br /> proposed Holiday Pay Personnel Ordinance revision <br /> which was adopted by the Board and now is in place <br /> effective January 1, 1993. <br /> The Board has indicated its desire to recognize <br /> employees for making cost-savings suggestions and, <br /> specifically to recognize Sheriff Pendergrass for his <br /> holiday pay cost saving suggestion. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board adopt the <br /> Resolution of Appreciation recognizing Sheriff <br /> Pendergrass. <br />
